We understand that the road is being closed to repair the cattle grid near the reservoir, so it will not be possible to access Ystradfellte from the A470 on this route (instead use the mountain road from Heol Senni past Maen Llia) – but should still be possible to access Ystradfellte from Penderyn.

BBNPA has informed us that this section of the Elidir Trail will be closed from 8 October for up to four months, to allow much needed repair work following last year’s storm damage. The path from Pontneddfechan to Sgwd Gwladus will remain open.
