The tree that was blocking the Honddu shifted in the floods last weekend; it’s now blocking the river-left arch of the main Usk bridge in Llanfaes. This should pose few problems, since in normal river levels, the flow normally dries under this arch. Thanks to Paul Lilygreen for this update.

Brecon Beacons National Park Authority has informed us that there will be no Warden cover at Cwm Porth on 26 Feb 2020. The car park will still be open for use.

Paddlers beware: the wooden walkways installed by anglers on river right above Llanspyddid Rapids (on the Usk between Aberbran and Brecon) have washed away leaving large bolts and bits of metal exposed at low water. Thanks to Tim Pustka and Soldier Development Wing for these photos:
