NRW has advised us that they have completed some works in the Dinas / Sychryd area:
- The fencing at the climbing area has now been replaced (and the ‘danger’ signs soon will be!); and
- New fencing has been installed at the foot of the cascades (opposite Bwa Maen) – where the path has now been re-built (again) following flood damage (see photo). They have deliberately left an opening at the far end of the post and rail fence for gorge walkers to access the gorge should they wish to do so at this point.

That looks great, thank you. We all know this will be damaged again during the next flood, that’s nature.
Please remind all gorge providers, tourists and boulderer’s that the fence is exactly that and not a seat for groups to sit on whilst being briefed or discussing route challenges!
Let’s keep it in the best condition for as long as we can by sensible usage.
