Outdoor Sector Deaf Awareness Session 21 July

We have been made aware of the following event which may be of interest to SWOAPG Members:

As part of the Deaf Health Wales project and the Natural Resources hub, Death Health Wales are hosting a free event for Outdoor Sector stakeholders in Brecon and would love to see you there!

The session will be a deaf BSL-led session (with BSL-English interpreters provided) aimed to: 

  • Educate attendees about deaf awareness and communication in outdoor settings 
  • Share inclusive resources and information to support deaf participation 
  • Round table discussion on what you could do to improve deaf access within your setting and identify needs from the sector 
  • Networking opportunity

  • Tuesday 21st July 2026 
  • Arrival 9.30-10am,
  • Session 10am-12.30pm 
  • Bannau Brycheiniog Visitor Centre, Libanus, Brecon, LD3 8ER 
  • Suitable for:   
    • Outdoor activity providers and instructors 
    • National outdoor/environment organisations and charities 
    • Physical activity organisations  
  • Light refreshments will be provided
