The recent rains have led to a new water gully appearing from the field above Porth yr Ogof which is directing water straight into the ‘letterbox aven’ / ‘sloping aven’. There is currently a tree blocking the right-hand half of the river Usk at the second drop below Aberyscir (on the section from Aberbran to Brecon) – grid reference SO 00870 29283.
