SWOAPG has now published a new online training course comprising 2023 updates to our Gorge-Walking Code of Conduct Training for the Upper Mellte gorge; which can only be completed once the ‘main’ (2021) training courses have been completed.
Representatives of all Upper Mellte Gorge-Walking Providers are required to complete this training; before they will be issued with 2023 SWOAPG ID cards; and all gorge-walking leaders should complete it before leading groups in the gorges after 1 April 2023 (proof of completion being a valid certificate with a completion date after 1 March 2023 – or request confirmation from coordinator@swoapg.com).
Similarly, representatives of all Sychryd & Lower Mellte Gorge-Walking Providers are required to have already completed the 2023 training update for the Sychryd & Lower Mellte gorges before now leading groups in them (proof of completion being a valid certificate with a completion date after 1 March 2023).
