We’re still working on the 2025 sign-up form for Waterfall Country Gorge users, but can confirm that:
- Providers will need to have paid full membership before they’ll be able to sign-up (see SWOAPG Membership and Reservoir Passport Renewals now available).
- Providers using the gorges will be required to confirm that they have adopted all the measures covered in the ‘template’ risk assessment attached below. This is a requirement imposed by NRW as part of the updated concordat arrangements for this year, so please check that your own risk assessments and/or operating procedures address all these points.
- We will also be asking you for information about any incidents with members of the public that you’ve been involved with over the last 12 months.
- We shan’t be asking everyone to undertake an updated code of conduct training course for this year – but will still require all gorge leaders to have completed the 2023 course(s); and to confirm that they have kept up-to-date with all recent alerts concerning the gorges (see e.g. Search Results for “sychryd”; and “loonies”; and “mellte”).
- We’ll issue new gorge ID cards once we’ve finalised the sign-up arrangements; in the meantime providers should continue using last year’s cards.
