Volunteering in the Waterfalls with BBNPA

The BBNPA are looking for volunteers to help with restoring some entrance paths and links routes in the waterfalls area, specifically Sgwd yr Eira, and the link path to Sgwd y Pannwr and Sgwd Isaf Clyn Gwyn. The work includes resurfacing, board walk installing and stone pitching.

As part of our on going relationship with the National Park Authority, we would like to offer them as much help as we can, and would appreciate it if you were willing to volunteer your time or your staff to help restore an area that is very important to us all.

The first restoration session being organised is on the 19th July, the plan is to meet at Gwaun Hepste car park at 09:30.

Here everyone will meet the wardens and organise people into vehicles so that access to the working areas is easier.

The work will mostly involve use of basic hand tools and moving materials. Tools and gloves will be provided by BBNPA.

You will need to bring:

Clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty

Sturdy footwear

A willing attitude

I hope we can get a strong showing at this voluneteering event and together SWOAPG and BBNPPA can refurbish the waterfalls area back to its former glory.

If you can join us on this day then please let our volunteering officer Em know by email – emyr.rees@hotmail.co.uk This is also the best route to have your questions answered.

If you can’t make this date will have other opportunities coming up over autumn and winter.

We look forward to seeing you there!
