Following our recent Waterfall Country Update regarding the Sgwd y Pannwr path, we have received the following additional information from NRW:
“Following successful helicopter operations last week, the plateau by Sgwd y Pannwr Waterfall (marked in blue on map below) is now covered with helicopter bags full of block sandstone for upcoming path works commencing beginning of June 2025. An access path has been kept clear on the outer (river) edge of the plateau, and the gorge path remains open to the river. Also, there is a bag of stone which ended up in the gorge (photo attached). The handles of the bag have been tied to prevent any trip hazards. As you’ll see from the photo, there is still room to navigate around the bag to the right-hand side. We will look to get the bag removed when our contractors are on site in June, or before if possible.”
