Dear Adventure Activity Caving Provider,
South and Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team has recently launched a joint Crowdfunder appeal in partnership with South Wales Caving Club. This appeal is intended to raise money towards the cost of the roof project for the SMWCRT portion of the building, remedial work required after the roof has been replaced, as well as improved storage for the Land Rover Ambulance and Rescue Team equipment. £10,500 is the target amount, which is half of the estimated total project cost. We have applied for consideration to be included in the ‘A Place for Sport’ match funding provided by Sport Wales – they match what we raise if we hit their set targets – and this is where we really need your help.
In order to be eligible for the Sport Wales funding, we need to obtain a minimum of 75 unique supporters of the project and we need to have raised at least 25% of the total project cost. We only have 36 days to achieve this. We therefore ask you to support us and share this appeal link far and wide, including via social media: Raising the Roof by Sponsoring a Slate Appeal – a Community crowdfunding project in Swansea by South & Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team.
Linked fundraisers have been enabled, so if you would like to assist us by holding your own event such as a sponsored walk, cake sale etc. then we would be delighted to have you involved. We need your support in order to ensure that caving and cave rescue continue to operate effectively in the South Wales area. Every penny counts and all contributions will be valued!
As a token of our appreciation, we will be offering everyone who donates £20 or more the option to have their name displayed on a slate in a representation of the tiled roof that will be displayed in the SMWCRT Headquarters following the renovations.
