Sychryd gorge update – trees and dippers

Thanks to Lee Garbett of Quest Adventures for the following updates – PLEASE TAKE NOTE if using the Sychryd Gorge:

  • There are once again Dippers nesting in the old bridge support below Bwa Maen and the ‘jacuzzi’. PLEASE AVOID THIS AREA for the time being by accessing the river above the ‘jacuzzi fall’ rather than via the gabion steps downstream of the bridge.
  • The tree that was lodged for the last 2 years in the ‘lower’ waterfall jump pool has now been removed (by Ron Ferguson, the river-left owner); providers should of course continue to make their own risk assessments about using the jumps into this pool.
