SWOAPG has now received confirmation of funding to enable us to start working with Powys County Council to put in place a Concordat for paddlesport operations at Glas-y-Bont Common in Glasbury -based on the model of our Waterfall Country gorge-walking Concordat with NRW. There’s a lot of work still to be done and plenty of hurdles that might still trip us up, but at least we might now be able to start making some progress towards re-opening the Bont for canoe traffic (though we suspect this is still likely to take months rather than weeks).
