Reports of ‘forbidden’ coasteering on Worms Head

We have learned of a report from both coast-watch lookout staff and a local wildlife organisation that ‘organised coasteering sessions’ are happening ‘regularly’ on the north side of the Worm.

Due to seals and bird life this is an absolute no-go area for coasteering.

Organisations taking groups coasteering (or any other activities for that matter) here may be breaking the law, will be creating a very bad precedent, will bring responsible coasteering organisations into disrepute, possibly endanger existing access arrangements and could undo years of relationship building with the National Trust in the area (who are aware of the issue and are ‘preparing a response’).

If any of our Members are able to shed light on who is running this activity, please do let us know – and/or pass this message on and ask them to get in touch with us urgently…
