Pop Up Adventure Vale of Glamorgan

"The Vale of Glamorgan is Wales' best kept secret adventure destination"

In partnership with the other members of the Wales Adventure Tourism Organisation, SWOAPG has been working with the Vale of Glamorgan Council to highlight the lesser-known adventure offer along the heritage coast culminating in a Pop-Up Adventure festival at Atlantic College on the 9th June. More details in the attached flyer.

Bookings for off-site activities via www.ticketsource.co.uk/pop-up-adventure, these include:

  • Surfing at Southerndown Beach, delivered by Porthcawl Surf School
  • Coasteering between Ogmore and Southerndown delivered by Atlantic Outdoors
  • Open Canoeing and Stand Up Paddleboarding at Cosmeston Lakes delivered by Atlantic Outdoors and Anturio

There are also a number of on-site activities planned for the day:

  • Axe Throwing – provided by Scouts
  • Climbing and High Ropes, provided by Atlantic College
  • Fossil Hunting provided by a local geologist
  • Nature Trail, provided by Vale of Glamorgan Rangers
  • Coracle demonstration on the outdoor swimming pool, provided by Dylan Jones of Dylan's Tours of Wales
  • An outdoor fitness session, provided by Brawd
  • A yoga session, provided by Ms.Fit
  • Challenge Wales yacht is planning to sail past during the day
  • Open Workshop area, showing the first boat constructed at Atlantic College for RNLI by Atlantic Pacific. An on the water demonstration may also take place
  • Lifeguard Demonstration by RNLI/Atlantic College Lifeguards and a possible RNLI Lifeboat demonstration may take place too
  • Rock Pooling Ramblers by Beach Academy Wales
