Parking restrictions for layby used to access Ogof Clogwyn, Llanelly Hill, REVISED DATES 9-30 Sep

We have just been informed that these works have been delayed and are now expected to start 9th September. Finish date is now likely to be around 30th September. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

We have received the following notification from Monmouthshire County Council:

“I write to inform you of works which will temporarily restrict the availability of parking commonly used to access Ogof Clogwyn.

“Contractors working on behalf of MCC will shortly be undertaking repair works on a watercourse culvert beneath the coal tips above Gelly Sidings.  The contractors will be using the informal layby (circled in cyan on the plan below) on land owned by MCC for their site compound.  It is unlikely that there will be space to park in the layby whilst the compound is present.

“These works are currently expected to start on 2nd September 2024 and be completed by 23rd September 2024.

“Please feel free to share this information with any interested parties.

“Apologies for any inconvenience during this period.”
