SWOAPG has received the following urgent message from BBNPA:
“Unfortunately the tree contractors were hampered by a few technical issues when they attempted to remove the diseased Ash trees in PYO car park on 19 July, the access platforms that they had brought with them failed to reach the trees needing dismantling! As a result the company have had to reschedule a return with some bigger kit capable of obtaining access to carry out the tree removal.
“As before, due to the nature of the operation, the same cave access restrictions will need to be in place and due to the large nature of the equipment being used and that it will need to be relocated to multiple areas of the PYO car park, we will need to restrict vehicular access to the car park, the car park will effectively be closed to all vehicles during tree operations which is scheduled to last for the majority of the day.
“The rescheduled date for the tree work is for this Friday the 2nd August.
“Hopefully, this time, the tree contractors have got the right kit to get the job done.
“Many thanks in advance for your understanding and assistance with this matter.”
