Coronavirus – Welsh Government Support to Businesses

Many SWOAPG Members will have already been – or will soon be – affected by the restrictions imposed by coronavirus. This will be a difficult time for all of us, businesses and individuals alike.

We don’t feel it’s our place to add yet more advice, but SWOAPG has received through its network the following information from Welsh Government which we are forwarding in case any of our Members haven’t already seen it.

PS we also recommend that Providers should contact their insurers to check what cover they may have for business losses as a result of the pandemic.

“The Minister for Economy, Transport and North Wales, Ken Skates has issued letters recently to reassure businesses in light of the recent cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19).
“Following the initial package of £200 million support announced earlier this week, this has been extended and will be providing almost £1.4 billion of support for businesses to help deal with the impact of the Coronavirus crisis.
“If you are currently experiencing issues or have any concerns with regards to your business operations/supply chain contact the Business Wales helpline on 03000 6 03000.
“To stay up to date with the latest information, take a look at our Coronavirus Advice pages.
“Read the UK Government’s guidance for employers and businesses about Covid-19 and Coronavirus Action Plan.
