We have received the following message from Dwr Cymru Welsh Water – we don’t anticipate this having a significant effect of water levels in the Mellte but users should be aware nonetheless:

“On the morning of the 9th January we will be carrying out a Scour operation at Ystradfellte Reservoir, we will be releasing a small amount of water during this operation in a controlled manner and will ensure that the possible release of solids are kept to a minimum, there is no algae bloom before operating the valves and check the river for any flooding.”
