Usk reservoir has now returned to ‘full’ winter level, with water running over the spillway. This means that users should no longer launch from the parking area at the southern end of the dam (marked as the ‘no-go’ area on the access maps) and should now only use the ‘official’ southern access point via the locked gate (code available from SWOAPG for passport holders). NB this lane is partially flooded at ‘full’ reservoir levels but still accessible with care – as always, make your own risk assessment!
