Upskill your employees with the Flexible Skills Programme (FSP) – including instructor qualifications

Visit Wales have received funding for tourism and hospitality training through the FSP partnership scheme again for 2023/24. The fund can pay 50% towards the cost of bespoke training, online or face to face.  Businesses must have approval before the training takes place.  More info can be found on the website (see below):

Funding is available to support employees of Wales-based Tourism and Hospitality businesses to attend training courses that are relevant to the sector. This can include face-to-face, or online training. To find out what training can be supported and how to apply go to Flexible Skills Programme | Business Wales Skills Gateway (gov.wales)

Approval must be confirmed before the training commences.

Just for your info – the types of training it has funded previously are very varied:

  • Management and leadership training
  • Web development
  • Mental Health in the workplace
  • Sustainability in the workplace
  • Outdoor instructor (sea kayaking for example)
  • SUP Sea Leader
  • Wine and Spirits WSET
  • Food Hygiene

Basically anything that the business needs as long as it’s not statutory training. The benefit of this fund is that the business can decide who delivers the training – as long as it is an accredited training provider.  The FSP team do all the admin and applications go to Paul Donovan for approval on behalf of the skills partnership.
