Further to our recent notices, NRW has now advised us that the Sychryd trail has re-opened following the rock-fall, but the “closure at the top end of the path remains in place until we are able to undertake the repairs necessary to the section of path that was washed out”. We’re assuming, since this statement is somewhat ambiguous, that this refers to the section of path just below the Cascades which has washed-out in previous floods – in which case the riverbed should still be available to gorge-walkers – but please do let us know what you find!
