Training opportunities: IOL ‘Foster a Connection’ & Brecon Beacons Ambassadors

Institue of Outdoor Learning “Fostering a Connection”

July 5th 6-8pm Craig Y Nos Visitor Centre, Brecon Beacons National Park, SA91GL.  This is an IOL CPD event, but is open to all so long as you book.

Help your clients connect with the world around them. An opportunity to try out games, quizzes and other activities designed to foster connection to the environment and to discuss these new ideas with fellow practitioners.  Connection can take place on many levels (intellectually, practically, emotionally, spiritually, through our senses, through our creativity…) and the activities on offer reflect this diversity.  We are not trying to teach field studies or asking people to become walking encyclopaedias of flora and fauna. Instead we offer activities which can be fitted seamlessly into your existing outdoor courses.  Designed by Lun Roberts (ER Outdoors), Jim Langley (Nature’s Work) and Joe Roberts (then Countryside Council for Wales, now Natural Resources Wales). This workshop and the taster session are recognized as CPD for members of the Mountain Training Association and of the Association of Mountain Instructors.
Free to attend but places are limited please book via the IOL Cymru website
