SWOAPG has played an important role over the last 10 years in enabling continued access for groups in the Waterfall Country gorges as well as representing the interests of the outdoor sector in South Wales in a myriad of ways through our influence in a range of local and national forums. We want to be able to continue doing all these things with our aim “to promote & develop sustainable outdoor activity provision in South Wales”. However, to keep SWOAPG running we really do need one or two additional people willing to serve as Directors to manage the formalities of the company (and we will be on the lookout for a new Chairperson – to guide us and act as our ‘figurehead’ – before the end of the year). So if you think you might be able to help us in this way to keep doing the things we’ve been able to support you with over the last decade, please contact coordinator@swoapg.com ASAP for more information.

PS we’re very grateful to those of you who’ve volunteered recently to join our wider Steering Group, which advises the Board of Directors on general matters relating to outdoor activity in our area. We do have space for more Steering Group members if anyone else is interested!
