As we feared, very few instructors were available to assist with this on BBNPA’s proposed September dates, so they’ve suggested pushing back a month – see new dates below. We’re very conscious this may still be in your ‘busy season’ so we may yet need to push back to November, although the longer we wait the more risk that river levels will be too high to get in to work.
Following the renewed build-up of debris in the PyO cave entrance (and our successful removal of so much last year), BBNPA is once again hoping to get volunteers together for further removal activity. Please let coordinator@swoapg.com know if (a) you can help on either or both of the proposed dates below (9am-3pm); or (b) you’d like to help but can’t make those dates. We’ll confirm once we have an idea of numbers (and river conditions, of course).
- Monday 6 Oct – Start clearing what we can at cave entrance and within
- Monday 13 Oct – Second visit following the BBNPA wardens team cutting any larger trees/branches
Thanks!
