We were out on a recce visit to the Mellte today, from Sgwd Clun Gwyn to Sgwd y Pannwr. Nothing significant to report in the river – just the usual selection of trees – but there is a minor obstruction on the ascent path on river-right up from beneath Sgwd Isaf Clun Gwyn. Some tree-fall has left brash and branches across the path. Although the obstruction is minor, the consequences of someone slipping while trying to negotiate it could be disastrous! The first group up there with a pruning saw could easily clear it away…
