BBNPA is hoping to make a start on removing the mass of timber debris from inside the Porth yr Ogof main entrance; the idea is that their staff will cut the timber and an army of volunteers and staff will transport it to a deposit point at the base of the path leading down from the car park, where it can’t be washed further into the cave. They’ve pencilled-in Mon 18 Nov (from 0930) as a first opportunity to test this method and would be grateful for any cave-equipped volunteers to help. This is of course weather dependent, but if you’re willing to help on the 18th (or on other days organised subsequently) please let our Coordinator know (coordinator@swoapg.com) so he can co-ordinate efforts.
