We’ve received a report of disturbance to bats in Eglwys Faen by a group conducting a lights-out exercise earlier this month. This cave is a very popular roosting site for these rare protected species at this time of year, so please take extra care to avoid disturbing them (a criminal offence!). Instructors should check out passages before sending groups on remotely-supervised routes, particularly in diminished-light conditions. Thanks!
