REMINDER: can you help with a RESEARCH PROJECT to gain an accurate view of incidents in the outdoors and share lessons and experiences?

We’ve received this message from the researchers:

“We are getting steady stream of organisations of all sizes, residential, expedition and non-residential, signing up BUT we are not quite there yet!  We need YOU!  In an ideal world we will have 100 outdoor learning ‘units’ submitting data.

“The actual reporting process is quite straightforward and is collected for only a quarter of the year and will run through 2026.

“Please do contribute to this research if you have an organisation delivering outdoor learning, and/or share on.  We are data poor as a sector. This anonymous, easy to use, UK survey will give us, for the first time incident AND participant data.  This will feed back into proactive safety management in the sector and for advocacy to the wider world.

“The closing date is December 15th, so plenty of time for you to find out more, and hopefully sign up to this innovative research project.”

See the attached flier and ‘quick summary’ for more details of how to get involved in this UK-wide ‘Collective Knowledge’ project.
