AHOEC is preparing a letter to send to Welsh Government next Tuesday with a plea for further support for outdoor education ‘centres’ in Wales – whether these are LEA centres or independent / commercial providers offering residential outdoor educational experiences. I will throw my hat in this ring as a youth worker who does provide these activities but hasn’t been allowed for the last year it has set back the young peoples development but also this years D of E program has also been halted thus causing a really important Qualification to be missed for the young people that I work with.
