The following CPD workshops are still open to SWOAPG Members (all-day workshops are £20 each, or £10 for up to 2 additional employees) and non-Members (£35 including Associate Membership to 31 Mar):
- Mon 23 Feb CPD Workshop: Learn about…the Central Beacons: we ideally need a few more of you to join us (subject to suitable weather conditions) with Alan Bowring (Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority’s Geopark Development Officer) for an exploration of the geology, history and stories of the Pen y Fan range – click on the link to book tickets now! (NB individual MTA Members are eligible for the SWOAPG Members rate)
- Fri 6 Mar CPD Workshop: Learn about…Cribarth: (or fallback date for Pen y Fan if adverse weather prevails on the 23rd) join Alan Bowring for an exploration of the geology, history and stories of this iconic mountain – expressions of interest only at this stage by e-mail to coordinator@swoapg.com.
The following FREE 1-hour evening workshop offers an opportunity for watersport users to learn more about how Dwr Cymru Welsh Water wants us to work with them to protect and secure reservoirs for our future recreational use. All Reservoir Passport holders and instructors who work on our reservoirs and rivers are strongly encouraged to attend – click on the link to book tickets and access the Teams links:
And do feel free to let us know if you have any other ideas for workshops we could run this winter (e.g. both the Mellte gorge and Porth yr Ogof have already been suggested, if enough of you were to express an interest…).
