The National Park has informed us that work will begin in March on the long-awaited conservation project to consolidate the Gunpowder Works on the Western bank of the Mellte, followed by some forestry operations. The building contractors will come on site on 5th March and finish at the end of August. The Park Authority then plans to carry out some felling around the buildings between September and November. SWOAPG will be working with the Park Authority and the building contractors to agree the best method for groups to gain continued access to Loonies’ Leap during this period; and we will let you know as soon as we have finalised these arrangements.
