SWOAPG contributes to crucial Outdoor Alliance ‘Recovery Plan’ for Welsh Government

The Outdoor Alliance Wales (which was set up two years ago to bring together a wide range of organisations with an interest in outdoor activity) has today submitted to the Welsh Government a “Post Covid-19 Recovery Plan for the outdoor sector in Wales”, which the Government will be considering as it decides how to move forward with the easing of lockdown.

The plan contains summaries of some individual National Governing Body plans as well as an extensive section on “Re-introducing provider-led outdoor activity” which was written by the SWOAPG Coordinator with contributions from other Outdoor Alliance Members. The SWOAPG Directors decided that this was a crucial task for us to get involved in at this time and are grateful to those SWOAPG Members who have been able to pay their Membership fees at this difficult time, making it possible for the Coordinator to support this work (which has so far cost the equivalent of 4 Full Membership subscriptions).
