Gunpowder Works track closed due to landslip – update

Further to our recent post (copied below), BBNPA has advised us that “we have recently received an engineers report on the Gunpowder Works footpath, and it will have to remain closed until remedial work has been done, so please will you remind providers that this section of the path could collapse at any time and therefore there should be no attempt to use the path.”

[Original Post] Due to a landslip, Brecon Beacons National Park Authority has had to close the track on river-right between the two footbridges at the gunpowder works. This means that, for the time-being, gorge-walking groups should return to Dinas Rock car park over the hilltop, since we don’t currently have permission to use the river-left path between the two bridges.
