SUMMARY:Mellte Gorge Rescue Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Run by Quest Adventures in association with Mountain Rescue\, on behalf of SWOAPGThis practical workshop will cover various topics and situations including – development of Evacuation Map\, Mountain Rescue evacuation procedures and protocols\, communication of all members involved\, removal and extraction evaluations\, group care\, patient care\, lead and assist duties and procedures\, interaction with Mountain Rescue Team\, Interaction with Air Lift Team\, interactive management of rescue. \nAttendees must be either 2018 Full/Associate Individual Members or staff from 2018 Full/Associate Corporate Members or 2018 Supporters. Credentials will be checked on booking. \nMeet at Clyn Gwyn Car Park at 8.15am ready for an 8.30am start. \nNB Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the gorge environment and conditions on the day (including ability to cross the river by wading to reach evacuation points)\, e.g. waterproofs\, river boots/wellies\, helmets (or full water gear including BAs if the rivers are high). Quest Adventures will be able to provide helmets and BAs if required.

SUMMARY:Dinas/Sychryd Code of Conduct Training
DESCRIPTION:This is a Code of Conduct Training session for Providers who are signed-up to the NRW Waterfalls Country Concordat. It is a requirement that a representative from each Provider attends a Code of Conduct Training session if they wish to use of the area for Gorge Walking. \nThis session is suitable for both new Providers that are starting to use the gorge\, as well as established Providers who would like a refresher or to bring new staff up to speed. \n\nAttendees must be either 2018 Full Individual Members or staff from 2018 Full Corporate Members or existing Level 2 or 3 Members / Observers or their staff. Credentials will be checked on booking.\nNB all Providers using the gorge after 31 May 2018 must have signed-up and paid to be Full Members.\n\nThe session is based on the paths around the gorge so no in-water kit is required\, but we will be undertaking the training whatever the weather\, so come prepared. \nWe will meet in the main car park at Dinas Rock. \nThe cost is £25 per person\, but one free space will be available to Providers who have paid for 2018 Full Membership. To book a place\, please complete the full booking process and we will cancel the payment process where appropriate.
